Last Thursday, Skype put an end to the support of SkypeKit accessories blocking the ability for Skype accounts to connect on devices using SkypeKit. As a result, anyone accessing SkypeKit enabled app is now unable to sign into Skype or access any Skype-enabled functionality.
Unfortunately, the NVX 610, NVX 620 and NVX 220 using Skype are among these accessories based on SkypeKit that won't connect to Skype anymore.
Moreover, this denial of service can create a bug on your invoxia device. When a NVX tries to reconnect to Skype, it fails and the app crashes and restarts, this causes an app reboot every few seconds.
We released a new firmware update to block Skype features and avoid these issues. To update your firmware into this new version:
- Turn your NVX OFF and ON again (NVX 610 and NVX 620 : using the ON / OFF button / NVX 220: unplug and plug again the power unit cable)
- After the reboot, the device will check for an update and will update into 8.14.2 blocking the Skype features.
We sincerely deplore this situation and the inconveniences this may have caused.
